Akita — Coat
Which of the following best describes the Akita's coat according to the AKC standard?
Short, smooth and firm in texture.
The coat is fine, smooth, soft, short and glossy, neither hard nor woolly.
Harsh and crisp to the touch, neither flat nor curly, often with a slight wave. Undercoat is soft, short, and dense.
Double-coated. Undercoat thick, soft, dense and shorter than outer coat.
